Rocket Software – Vertica

Rocket Software, Inc.(Rocket Software), a portfolio company of Bain Capital, proposes to acquire the Vertica Analytics Database Platform (Vertica) from Open Text Corporation (Open Text). The proposed acquisition will occur largely by way of asset sale.

Rocket Software is a global provider of infrastructure and application software solutions. Rocket’s products and services focus on modernising and optimising applications on mainframe computers. Bain Capital is a private equity investment firm that invests in companies across a number of industries, including information technology, healthcare, retail and consumer products, communications, financial services and industrial/manufacturing.

Vertica is an enterprise-grade analytical database software that currently forms part of Open Text. Vertica is designed for large-scale data analytics within a customer’s own IT environment.
